Welcome to my web site and thank you for visiting. I am a retired architect, an artist, love the outdoors and traveling so have found that photography is an art form that embraces all my passions. I am constantly looking around my environment for interesting landscapes, people, forms, color or just something that catches my eye. I set up this web site to share my images. From time to time I will post comments relating to the images I have recently taken or places I have visited relating to the photography on the web site to provide a little more insight as to what i am doing or why I am posting something. Enjoy Backyard BirdsWe have several species to watch. The most fun to watch has been our resident, rather aggressive, male Anna's Hummingbird. It is defiantly a challenge trying to capture him and his self-imposed invaders in the camera. You can see rain drops in the air as well as on his head in image posted. Trip to Europe- Including river cruise from Amsterdam Netherlands to Basel Switzerland
Summer Road TripIn the middle of July this year (2023) we took a 2+ week road trip from Washington down the coast of Oregon, California and returning up through Nevada, California, Oregon and back into Washington. A total of 2,405 miles. It was a fun trip staying in some fun places, exploring wineries, old historic towns, beach towns and even a few Native American casinos. Images to remember our time with the Big IslandOur last day is today. We head back to Seattle and have an amazing stay to remember. The camera can only capture a moment in time, but the connections to these images carries with it a story in our minds. Come visit this Island if you have not already. Its a perfect way to disconnect and re-connect at the same time.
Fun few days on the Big Island of HawaiiIts been a few days of driving downpours, humid and sunny afternoons, diverse landscapes and lots of fun with family. A few sample images below. More to come.
